Chong Chen, PhD

Dr. Chen is a postdoc researcher in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. He joined The Ohio State University in 2018. His research interests include signal processing, compressive sensing, machine learning, and high-performance computing. He is currently focusing on advanced image reconstruction methods for highly accelerated real-time cardiac MRI and their inline implementation in Gadgetron.
 
Aaron Pruitt, MSc

Aaron Pruitt completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s of Biomedical Engineering in 2016 and 2018, respectively, both at The Ohio State University. He is now pursuing a PhD in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, specializing in the development of novel techniques in the field of cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging. His current research interests include phase-contrast and 4D flow imaging, eddy current correction, volumetric k-space sampling schemes, compressive sensing, MR-based physiological monitoring, and retrospective motion compensation.
Sizhuo Liu, MSc

Sizhuo Liu joined The Ohio State University via a BSc/MSc program after completing three years of her BSc degree from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC). She earned her MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, USA, in 2018. She is currently a PhD student in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Ohio State University. Her research interests include developing and applying deep learning techniques to accelerate cardiac MRI.
Shen Zhao, MSc

Shen Zhao is a PhD student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The Ohio State University. His research interests include low-rank tensor/matrix decomposition and completion, dimension reduction, random matrix theory, and numerical linear algebra.  His work is focused on developing fast, memory-efficient reconstruction algorithms for high dimensional MRI problems. He is particularly interested in developing a unifying and computationally efficient framework for calibrationless MRI. He is co-advised by Dr. Ahmad and Dr. Potter.

Michael Gregg is an undergraduate student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The Ohio State University. He joined the research team in 2019. His research interests include digital image and signal processing and its application to Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), especially phase-contrast MRI.
